Angelina Bonta


Angelina Bonta began her journey into radio in the fall of 1998 as a student disc jockey on KAWC-AM (1320), eventually graduating to part-time student staff in 1999. She gained full-time status at KAWC when the Announcer/Producer position opened in early 2000.

Angelina's duties range from on-air newscasts to reporting
and everything in between. Currently, she is the local host of NPR's Morning Edition, heard on KAWC every weekday morning from 6-9am. She is also in charge of public service announcements at KAWC. For info on submitting a public service announcement, please call Angelina at 344-7694.

Angelina received her A.A.S. degree in Broadcasting and an A.A. in General Education from Arizona Western College in 2001 and 2004 respectively, and a B.A. in Liberal Studies (with an emphasis in Enterprise in Society) in 2004 from Northern Arizona University-Yuma. She is a proud member of the Yuma Partners Optimist club; other interests include piloting small planes, listening to almost every type of music, singing, traveling, reading, golfing, skydiving, baking, rock climbing, hiking, snorkeling...and working at KAWC!
